Talking about her part in her upcoming movie -about a period of Marilyn's life. Michelle Williamson said that she had to focus on every single detail of Monroe's life, from the way she talks, walks and flip her hair.
The glamorous lavender dress, the 50s-ish makeup and the beauty mark in the middle left of the face .. All in all, she's flawless.

Best fashion magazines covers.

I gathered different fashion magazines covers I find magnificent and breath-taking, so here we go:
(PS: Most of the covers are Vogue magazines, oh well, you can't blame great art)

1- French Vogue November 1970: Donna Jordan
(Lust isn't something new and trendy, the Lady in Red here shows an irresistible attraction towards her. A fine photography full of feminine passion 41 years ago!)

2- British Vogue October 1967: Jean Shrimpton
(The beautiful, innocent soul of one of the first supermodels Jean S - The Shrimp. What's kinder than this pure beauty with piercing turquoise eyes and a wooden hair color , she is perfect)

3- Vanity Fair August 1991: Demi Moore
(Posing nude is a big challenge, especially 20 years ago. What's so great about this cover is the transparency of the nudist and her body, carrying a breathing alive human being. Carnal motherhood.)

4- Italian Vogue March 2005: Lily Donaldson
(It's where fantasy feels real, where models are angels and muses. Where you can  hear the harmony in this soft, peaceful world.)

5- Numero 80 February 2007: Malgosia Bela
(I believe Edgy, Bold and Fierce are some words to describe this piece of art. Dressed in the revolutionary D&G metal dress of SS07 collection, Malgosia has a word to say: I'm here to conquer you.)

6- W October 2008: Anne Hathaway
(Something about this cover turns the sweet Anne to the mysterious lustful Anne, could it be the stunning makeup, or the bizarre hair.. It's probably the 'Sensual Ballerina' look given to the actress...Stunning.)

7- Style October 2008: Kate Moss
(the bodacious supermodel Kate Moss, in a sexy mini-dress is here with action and sensuality to rock your world, with perfect font and perfect coloring, this is the deal.)

8- Fashion Magazine January 2009: Kasia Struss
(Fiesta! The Polish model in a feather white mini-dress in a dancing pose, giving the illusion of motion in a black and white frame yet obvious euphoria!)

9- Vegas November 2008: Kim Kardashian
(KK looking so sexy and bold, with a lion look-a-like figure and chic accessories. The femininity is limitless in her face expression and the pants are just too weird!!!)

10- French Vogue March 2009: Iris Strubegger
(A retro devoted cover for the fashion goddess Mademoiselle Coco Chanel. In the end "French Boyish Coco elegance".)

11- Elle May 2009: Drew Barrymore
(a unique way of thinking, under-water. With the ginger haired actress, posing literally under the water, 'une folie sous l'eau', since we all have our craziness underwater, so why not?!)

12- US Vogue April 2011: Rihanna
(In this cover, the main inspiration is Ariel, the mermaid. Rihanna with her flaming red hair and exotic see-through dress, covering her beautiful body and the soothing maritime background.)

13- US Vogue March 2011: Lady Gaga
(With her eccentric looks, Vogue defines gaga's own special beauty with pink hair matching font and a white silk folded dress and gold ribbons and of course the pose of POWER! Go monsters!)

14- Italian Vogue September 2011: Stella Tennant
(Dedicated to Ethel Granger, the woman with the smallest waist ever, this cover is just intriguing. With so many issues behind doing it, the look, the photoshopped waist, the whole  24.4 x 32 cm cover is something to talk about.)

Actress Thandie Newton poses for Louis Vuitton.

The British actress with a special, rare skin color was chosen to pose in the Louis Vuitton film series : Double Exposure, where 19th century photographic process is used. That requires the sitter to pose for 12 seconds.

The Double Exposure project is a Louis Vuitton invention, that consists on slowing things down in a chaotic world urging for modernity and new lifestyles. It is the moment to focus on the sitter and only the sitter, to produce a timeless piece of art.

"The images really take you into the heart of history itself," Newton said. "To parallel that, we're getting into the history of me through the items I've chosen. One of the things about these photographs is the layers of meaning. Each picture is so unique so it just creates this desire to be my most essential self."
This is is why Thandie Newton decided to use some personal items of her in the photo shoot such as her passport, a teddy bear and a painting...

The clothes for the footage are from the Louis Vuitton ready-to-wear AW 11-12 collection, a collection all about women fetishes and sex, that is it. If you want to check the full show: http://www.vogue.co.uk/fashion/autumn-winter-2011/ready-to-wear/louis-vuitton/full-length-photos

Aim : Galas' Goddesses

This Resort 2012 Collection by Marchesa was launched earlier this summer, the latter devoted for red carpet elegant gowns decided to create a collection for jet set, pool and elegant parties...
The photographic aspect wasn't neglected, not even a bit.
Basically the dresses are pure femininity, with classiness. It rather minds us of sculpting on the body, as the drapes give the gowns a historical aspect of Eve especially with silk and chiffon fabrics used. The fine and detailed embroidery marks the body, surrounding the waist, shoulders and breast. In general, this takes the woman from a humanoid form to a supremely royal form.
From a silver, back-showing, long-sleeved dress hugging the whole of the body to the cheetah, mid-short dress with a voluminous form and a turquoise belt defining the perfect waist of the model.. this, is, pure, fine, art.. yet ready to party in VIP. - Edited with J.B

Gucci : Risky Extravagance

Frida Giannini, the creative director of the prestigious brand Gucci, made it to the cover of the special issue of Vogue Magazine, displaying all fashion weeks from Milan to New York.
The catwalk witnessed elegance when the designer displayed flowers and feather embroidery climbing the arms and finishing on the neck, and silk long dresses which was a really nice collaboration!
But what interested me was the wilder aspect of the show, the instinctual one, the one with snake leather, heavy fur, crazy feather and chaotic colors producing a warm catchy image; as seen above, the retro images of the 40s - 70s women, with a masculine-feminine contrast and a more festive touch of the God Father. These looks that seemed somehow bizarre in the show received great criticism from fashion bloggers online. The mix of woody brown, with flamboyant purple and a blooding red is too risky, but in the case of Frida , the result was total classiness. Once again, Gucci didn't disappoint his fans!

The collision of two eras

I've always admired the brand Viktor & Rolf, for their use of imagination, sophistication and pure "out of the ordinary"-ness. The Dutch couple has always given the Parisian Runway a bitter taste, away from the endless elegance of the city -avec un certain je ne sais quoi.
In the above photo, we see the Bridal gown presented by Viktor and Rolf, in their latest collection in Paris. As we focus more and more on the dress, the inspiration of the Middle Ages becomes clearer, as the cuts and the volumes and eccentric proportions highlight the era of  European Kingdoms and their past glories. A bit further, we notice the modern colors, metal-like forms and fabrics and the black skinny trousers.
The fusion of two distant eras on one canvas made this bridal outfit special for it's unusual yet unique look.
